Biomimicry in engineering is a different way of addressing design problems, but it is still engineering with the same physical, chemical, electrical principles that underpin this field, in traditional terms.

However, we move forward. We are fortunate to have realized how important it is to take a step back and see the biger picture, take a holistic viewpoint where nature becomes the wiser consultant from which we can learn so much.

The lessons from nature are unique, invaluable. The only challenge is to be able to understand them. And this requires a multidisciplinary approach, a place where engineering and natural sciences meet.
